Time runs forward. The season is over, white outdoors. The painting successfully completed. I decided to complicate the task a bit - cover the paint with a layer of pearl varnish. I think it was a great idea!

This part was prity tricky. Points of contact of the rear cover with the hull of the boat should be solid and as accurate as possible.

The deck is made of 2 layers of 4mm plywood and one layer of 5mm pine slats. It was quite a time consuming process as thousands of screws were screwed in and out. The slats were fixed with a stapler and pulling out the staples so that they would not break in the deck required patience and time.

After some preparation works I was ready to intall stringers. This part of the work went prity smooth. Hardest part was adjust splice locations for frames and additional stringers holders to obtain gently curved lines for cab perimeter moldings. The cab perimeter moldings bent very well - I used a steeming tool for wallpaper removal.

Turning the boat went smoothly.

I have a good progress. Boat is prepared to be turned over.I have added several improvements compared with BB530S - redesigned rear part, transom and 6 splash rails.

Work has started on a new boat 🙂
